TNMU Representatives Took Part in the Meeting of the Partners of the Programme “Innovative Rehabilitation Education - Introduction of New Master’s Degree Programs in Ukraine 2018-2021”

On May 20-26, 2019, a working meeting of the partners of the European Union Erasmus+ Programme “Innovative Rehabilitation Education - Introduction of New Master’s Degree Programs in Ukraine 2018-2021” was held in the Józef Piłsudski University of Physical Education in Warsaw (AWF). the Head of the Department of Medical Rehabilitation Professor I.R. Mysula and Assistant Professor of the department Yu.V. Zavidniuk represented TNMU.

During the meeting with Ukrainian and European partners, the preparation program for masters of physical therapy in Ukraine was adapted to the European standards. It was decided that the competences and training materials provided by the Finnish partners would be uses as a guide and integrated with the program developed by the Ukrainian working group. The TNMU delegation presented the provisions on the OSCE, provided detailed information on its organization and assessment. The OSCE were decided to be introduced as a mandatory part of the physical therapist training program.

The delegation studied the teaching methods used at practical classes, the Motion Laboratory, the Training Center of the AWF. Much attention was paid to students’ practical training at the facilities of Brodnowski Hospital, CZD-Children Health Hospital, Bielanski Hospital, Ortopedika Clinic.

The student exchange programme between TNMU and AWF has been initiated. These universities has also agreed on the organization of webinars involving the teachers from European project partners as well as summer schools for teachers of partner universities.
